Language

Simultaneous translation is being provided from English into Hebrew for the entire conference.
For the session entitled: Water & Environmental Challenges Facing Latin America & Proposed Practical Solutions simultaneous translation will also be provided from Portuguese and Spanish into English and Hebrew and from English and Hebrew into Portuguese and Spanish.

Persons wanting to utilize the simultaneous translation, must leave either a passport, identity card or drivers license, in order to receive headphones, which will be returned upon handing in of the headphones.

Conference Kit and Name Tag

Upon registration you will receive your conference kit containing the printed material of the
conference, name tag and voucher(s) for lunch. Please wear your name tag to all conference activities.

Speakers Ready Room

A Speakers' Ready Room, will be available for speakers every day during meeting hours. Speakers are requested to check their presentation at least half an hour prior to the start of their session.

Exhibition Opening Hours

All participants are invited to view the exhibition. Registration desk will be at Hall 10.

Airport Information

Ben Gurion International Airport is the main international gateway to and from Israel. It is situated approximately 25km (16 miles) south-east of Tel Aviv.
Journey to Tel Aviv is approximately 30 minutes. 

Transportation to Tel Aviv

By Train
The train station is located on Level S of the Landside Building, adjacent to the Greeters' Hall.
Passengers arriving at Ben Gurion International Airport who wish to exit by train need to go up to the Greeters Hall on Level G and from there to the Check-in Hall, via elevators, escalators or stairs. Train tickets can be purchased through automated ticket dispensers on Level G of the terminal.It is recommended to get off the train at Azriely station or Arlozorov station and to take a taxi to the hotel.

By Bus
Upon exit from customs, take either the elevator or escalator to the 2nd floor.  Exit the terminal either by gate number 21 or 23.  Cross over the road for Egged bus number 5 which serves as an internal transport line from Ben Gurion International Airport to El Al Junction.  The price today is NIS 5 (USD 1.50).
You need to take line 475.
Buses arrive at Tel-Aviv Central Bus Station.
From here it is approximately 15 minutes by car/taxi to the Tel Aviv Hotels.

Note: Buses do not run on Saturday (Shabbat) - from half hour before sunset on Friday till one hour after sunset on Saturday.

By Private Taxi
The Taxi Stations and dispatcher's counter at Terminal 3 are located on Level G of the Multi Level Road.
Cost is NIS 120 (USD 32.50).
It is recommended not to use random Taxi services.
Rate 2 (25% extra) will apply in the following cases:
Night journeys between 21:00 and 05:59 hours the next day.
An additional NIS 2.7 will be applicable for each piece of luggage.

By Private Transportation
It is possible to order in advance, cost is USD 55 for up to 3 passengers in one car or USD 92 for up to 7 passengers in one car.

Taxi's in the City

Please ensure the driver has turned the meter on when taking taxis in the city.

Shopping centers are open as follows:  
Sunday through Thursday:  09:30 to 21:00 hours
Friday:                              09:30 to 15:00 hours
Shopping centers reopen after Shabbat.  
   
Shops in the town are generally open as follows:  
Sunday through Thursday: 09:00 to 19:00 hours
Friday:                             09:00 to 15:00 hours  

Visa

Participants are advised to please check with local travel agents if visas for entry to Israel are required, prior arrival.

Climate and Clothing

Average temperature in Tel Aviv in November is 15-23°C. Clothing is informal for all occasions. Walking shoes and a sweater or jacket are highly recommended. Rain is a possibility.

Please do not leave bags and suitcases unattended at any time.
