Awards 

Requirements

• Request for consideration must be indicated in the abstract submission form at the time of submission.
• Content of the abstract must be original work.
• The name of the presenting author MUST match the name of the applicant.
• Requests that do not conform to above terms will automatically be declined.

Judgement criteria will be based on:

• Scientific content
• Structure of the abstract
• Presentation
• Ability to defend the paper/results during question time from the audience

 Prize:

• EUR  1,500

ESPR Young Investigators & Bengt Robertson Award

Authors may apply for the Young Investigator’s Prize Presentation or the Bengt Robertson Award.  An author may apply for both awards providing 2 different abstracts are submitted (one for each).  

Requirements

• Abstracts must be on research concerning the neonatal lung.
• Request for consideration must be indicated in the abstract submission form at the time of submission.
• Content of the abstract must be original work.
• Presenting authors must be < 35 years of age. Clear copy of ID indicating date of birth is to be included with the abstract submission. 
• Name of an ESPR member supporting the application is required.
• The name of the presenting author MUST match the name of the applicant.
• Requests that do not conform to above terms will automatically be declined.

Judgement criteria will be based on:

Prize:

•  EUR 3,000. 
•  Complimentary registration to the next ESPR Annual Meeting
•  Accommodation and travel expenses for the next ESPR Annual Meeting will be covered.

ESPR Young Investigators Award
Up to two prizes will be awarded.

Requirements

• Request for consideration must be made on the abstract form at the time of submission.
• The name of the presenting author MUST match the name of the applicant.
• Requests that do not conform to above terms will automatically be declined.

• Structure of the abstract
• Presentation
• Ability to defend the paper/results during the question time from the audience

Prize:

• First Prize: EUR 600 Award, complimentary registration and free travel the next ESPR Annual Meeting.
• Second Prize: EUR 400 Award, complimentary registration the next ESPR Annual Meeting.

The top 20 scored abstracts selected for poster presentation will automatically be considered for this award and will be competitively scored at the Meeting.  The prize winner will be awarded EUR 300. 

ESPNIC Nursing Educational Grants
This programme is to encourage European Nursing colleagues to participate in the ESPNIC Medical & Nursing Annual Congresses.

Requirements

• The applicant must be a ESPNIC nursing member
• Official confirmation that financial support by the employer or a third party is not available
• The original documents (invoices), a copy of the congress confirmation form together with a detailed listing of all costs are needed for the transfer of the grant
• The grant is open to an individual application only once in a three year term
• Applications from current members of the ESPNIC Nursing SC or EC will not be considered
• Applicants must apply directly from the ESPNIC Society website.

 Prize:

• 5 Grants of 400€ each will be awarded to an ESPNIC Nursing member to facilitate the participation in these educational activities.

The prizes for the awards are as follows:

• Best Oral Presentation – Waived registration to next ESPNIC Meeting Congress, one year ESPNIC membership and  a one year subscription to one of ESPNIC’s official Journals
• Best Poster – One year ESPNIC membership and  a one year subscription to one of ESPNIC’s official Journals
