CALL FOR NOMINATIONS: THE ISRAELI 'YOUNG INVESTIGATOR AWARD' IN NANOSCIENCE AND NANOTECHONOLOGY
The “Israel National Nanotechnology Initiative” (INNI) together with the "Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Labor", the Organizing Committee for “NanoIsrael 2012” conference and the “Forum of the Heads of the Nanocenters” in the Universities are issuing a call for nomination for candidates to the Israeli “Young Investigator Award” in nanoscience and nanotechnology. The candidate should be an Israeli citizen or permanent resident active in this research field in one of the recognized institutions of higher learning in Israel. The candidate must hold a position in a university up to 10 years. The award will consist of NIS 7000 (US$ 2000) prize and a plaque. The winner will give an invited talk at the forthcoming NanoIsrael 2012 conference.
The criteria for the selection of the prize winner will include, among others, quality of the publications; citations; invitations to national and international forums; other awards and recognitions; recommendation letters and scientific-technological leadership.
To submit a candidate the nominator should forward:
- The candidate’s CV and list of publications
- Letter specifying the candidate achievements
- Citation summarizing the achievements of the award winning work (maximum two lines)
- Copy of a document confirming the date of his first academic appointment.
- List of 5 people who can send a letter of endorsement on behalf of the candidate
Self-nominations are precluded. The nomination package should arrive to the address below no later than
January 1st 2012 at 17.00 (5 pm). Submission by e-mail (reshef.tenne@weizmann.ac.il) is allowed.

קול קורא להגשת מועמדים לפרס המדען הישראלי הצעיר המצטיין בשטחי הננומדעים והננוטכנולוגיה
"המיזם הלאומי הישראלי לננוטכנולוגיה" בשיתוף עם הועדה המארגנת של כינוס "ננו-ישראל 2012" ופורום "ראשי מרכזי הננו באוניברסיטאות" מכריז על תחרות המדען הישראלי הצעיר המצטיין בשטחי הננומדעים והננוטכנולוגיה. על המדען להיות אזרח ישראלי או תושב קבע ולכהן באחד המוסדות המוכרים להשכלה גבוהה בארץ לא יותר מ-10 שנים ופעיל בתחום זה. הפרס בסך 7000 שקלים ינתן לזוכה בכינוס "ננו-ישראל 2012". כמו כן יקבל הזוכה תעודה המעידה על הפרס ויתכבד בהרצאה מוזמנת בכינוס "ננו-ישראל 2012".
להגשת המועמדות יש להגיש את המסמכים הבאים:
- קורות חיים ורשימת פירסומים של המועמד
- מכתב המסכם את הישגיו של המועמד בשטח זה
- אישור על מועד תחולתו של המינוי האקדמי הראשון של המועמד
- רשימת 5 אנשים היכולים לתמוך בכתב במועמד
