About the SGH ENT Laser Course
This is the second time we are conducting this hands-on laser course. The two-day course is recommended for all doctors involved in ENT laser surgery. It is also of value to operating theatre staff involved in laser procedures. On the first morning there are lectures and video presentations on basic science and clinical applications. On the second morning there will be an emphasis on laser surgery for laryngeal cancer as well as the application of flexible lasers for outpatient laryngeal surgery. In the afternoons on both days there will be hands-on practice in the experimental laboratory to expose the participants to different types of lasers and application techniques. There will be ample opportunity to try out different techniques using cadaveric simulators. This year, our keynote speakers and instructors are Professor Marc Remacle, a well-known expert in ENT laser surgery, and Professor Gregory Postma who has wide experience in office-based laryngeal laser surgery.
