Dear Colleagues,
It is my great pleasure to invite you to participate in the 7th International Symposium on Pneumococci and Pneumococcal Diseases, which will be held in Tel Aviv, Israel, March 14-18, 2010.
The symposium will bring together researchers and clinicians from all over the world who are interested in the many aspects of pneumococci and pneumococcal diseases. The stimulating scientific program will highlight the latest scientific achievements, enhance existing knowledge and lead to improved diagnosis, prevention and treatment. Topics will cover epidemiology, bacteriology, pathogenic mechanisms, clinical aspects, prevention and treatment. The program will include state-of-the-art plenary lectures, selected presentations from submitted abstracts and ample opportunity will be provided for interactive discussions.
Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest city and commercial center located along the beautiful Mediterranean coastline and renowned for its distinctive Bauhaus architecture. This busy metropolis invigorates visitors with a unique energetic atmosphere, outstanding museums, cultural events and non-stop active nightlife.
Social events will be planned to offer participants a taste of the vibrant local culture.
The symposium which will be held at the luxurious David Intercontinental Hotel located on the magical beachfront promenade and neighboring the ancient port city of Jaffa, is steps away from Israel’s largest open-air market and Tel Aviv’s most fashionable “SoHo” neighborhood of Neve Tzedek. It will provide an ideal locale for what promises to be a memorable event.
I look forward to your submission of abstracts which will add to the scientific quality of the program, support the exchange of ideas and strengthen ongoing research collaborations.
With best wishes and looking forward to welcoming you in Tel Aviv,
Ron Dagan
