VISAS
The following provides basic information on visa requirements for travelers to Brazil.
All visitors to Brazil must hold a passport that is valid for at least six months from the date they enter the country.
Participants are requested to check with the Brazilian consulate or diplomatic mission in their home country. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a Visa with no commitment from the organizers to provide any financial support. In order to obtain more information and find your local embassy/consulate, please visit the official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism: http://www.braziltour.com/dicaturista/dicasConsuladosEmbaixadas.html
The request for an entry visa to Brazil can be made at any Brazilian consulate overseas. A fee must be paid, which varies according to the type of visa requested and the amount of time the tourist will remain in the country.
It is possible to enter and remain in the country for a specific period of time without a visa so long as the visitor’s passport is valid. This permission is derived from diplomatic agreements signed between Brazil and some countries, and it is classified according to the purpose of each trip. Please visit the official website of the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism to find out if your country falls under this category: http://www.braziltour.com/dicaturista/dicasPassaporte.html
Processing Times
Please be aware that Visa applications can be a lengthy process and in some cases can take up to 3 months.

Upon request, the ISPPD Secretariat will send personal invitation letters to participants. This invitation is prepared solely for the purpose of visa applications and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support.

VISA APPLICATION FOR ABSTRACT SUBMITTERS
The ISPDD is very much aware of the time needed for visa applications to Brazil. We are therefore pleased to offer those abstract submitters who must apply for a visa to Brazil the opportunity to submit
the title of their abstract only before submitting an abstract. The Scientific Committee will in turn review these titles as they are submitted, before the deadline, and respond with their acceptance or rejection of the title in order that you may begin the procedure of the visa applications. Full abstract text will then have to be submitted as normal by the abstract deadline.
Should you require this service, please submit your abstract title by email to the Symposium Secretariat at isppd@kenes.com
