ISCOS 2012 - By London Underground

The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre is located in the very heart of Westminster and can be reached by London Underground and mainline stations. The Centre's nearest underground station is Westminster but there are tube links from St James's Park and the centre is only minutes away from both Waterloo and Victoria mainline stations. ISCOS 2012 - By Plane

London is served by five international airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Stansted and London Luton. Heathrow airport is just 30 minutes away by car from the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre.

ISCOS 2012 - By Bus

With the QEII located next to Parliament Square, the number 3, 11, 12, 24, 53, 87, 88, 148, 159, 211 and 453 stop within walking distance of the venue, many running for 24 hours.

Wheelchair users are entitled to free travel on buses and all London buses are low floor vehicles fitted with a retractable ramp. Wheelchairs can be accommodated up to a size of 70cm wide by 120cm long with a maximum weight of 300Kg.

ISCOS 2012 - By Car

Please be advised that it is quicker and easier to travel to the venue using public transport.

The Centre is within easy reach of the A1, M1, M25, M11, M40, M4, M3, M2 and M23. Disabled delegates arriving at the Centre in a vehicle with a disabled badge displayed will be allowed to park on the forecourt of the building. Taxis and other vehicles will also be allowed on to the forecourt to enable disabled passengers to disembark more easily.

There is a ramp from the forecourt which leads to the front doors and is wide enough for easy wheelchair access.

ACCESS FOR DISABLED PERSONS:

The Centre has nine passenger lifts, all of which are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair. There are eight accessible toilet facilities through the Centre: These are equipped with emergency alarms and can be accessed from function rooms by using lifts where necessary.

ISCOS 2012 - EXHIBITION

An exhibition will take place during the Meeting on the 3rd floor of the QEII Conference Centre.

The preliminary exhibition opening hours are as follows:

Monday, 3rd September 2012 10:15 - 19:15
Tuesday, 4th September 2012 08:00 - 18:15
Wednesday, 5th September 2012 08:00 - 17:00


Please note the final timings of the exhibition will be confirmed nearer to the date of the congress.

ISCOS 2012 - REGISTRATION

On-site registration will start on Sunday, 2 September at 16:00 hrs. The registration desk and meeting secretariat is located in Sanctuary Foyer, Ground Floor of The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and will be open during the following hours:

Tuesday, 4th September 2012 07:30 - 17:30

LUNCHES AND REFRESHMENTS

Coffee, tea and lunch will be served during the official breaks within the exhibition area.

ACCREDITATION

The Royal College of Physicians has awarded the Meeting a maximum of 18 CME credits.

The organisers are not able to take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the meeting. Delegates are advised to take out their own personal insurance to cover travel, accommodation, cancellation and personal effects.
