Late-Breaking Abstract Submission
The abstract deadline for oral submissions has now passed. It is possible to submit an abstract for poster presentation until:

We are pleased to offer a late-breaking abstract submission for those who were not able to meet the original deadline.
Participants who would like to submit a late-breaking abstract, please note:
- Accepted abstract will be presented as posters at the congress
- Only abstracts submitted by December 8, 2009 will be printed in the abstract book
- Abstracts submitted after this date will still be offered a poster board but will not be printed in the abstract publication
- Late Breaking abstracts are not applicable for prizes
- Submission will close on Thursday, 14 January, 2010
- All rules of submission as below apply
RULES FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS
- The Program Committee will review abstracts. Following this, information regarding acceptance, and scheduling will be sent to the abstract submitter. Instructions for preparation of posters will be sent together with the acceptance notification.
- All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for the review of your abstract by a colleague who is a native English speaker, by a university specific publications office (or other similar facility) or by a copy editor, prior to submission.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Secretariat.
- Only the abstracts of registered presenting authors will be included in the program and book of abstracts.
- Abstracts accepted for presentation will be published on the website prior to the Conference.
Only abstracts of authors who have paid their registration fees by December 2, 2009 will be scheduled and included in the Final Program.
PROCEEDINGS
The Conference Publication Committee will select top scoring abstracts and offer the opportunity to submit manuscripts for review with the option to be published as full papers in a peer-reviewed high quality journal.
GUIDELINES FOR SUBMISSION
Before you begin, please prepare the following information:
- Presenting author's contact details
- Email address
- Full postal address
- Daytime and evening phone number
- Author and co-authors' details
- Full first and family name(s)
- Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
- Abstract title - limited to 20 words in UPPER CASE
- Abstract text – limited to 250 words
(Please Note: Word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are added)
- Abstract layout - Abstracts must be submitted with the following sections:
- Objectives
- Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- Keywords
- Abstract topic – abstracts must be allocated to a specific topic for the Scientific Programme. Please choose up to 3 categories from the list of topics.
- Tables – A maximum of 3 tables of up to 10 rows x 10 columns can be included per abstract
- Graphs and images – It is important to note that each image included in the abstract is worth 30 words. A maximum of 3 images can be included per abstract.
The maximum file size of each graph/image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the graph/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixel. You may upload graphs in JPG format only.
- Draft abstracts – The submission form at the link below allows you to store your abstract as a draft in order to make changes. Please note that abstracts must be SUBMITTED before the deadline in order to be sent to review for inclusion in the Scientific Programme.
