CLICK HERE FOR THE NURSES' FORUM AGENDA
ICS, IUGA and the Canadian Nurse Continence Advisors invite you to a full day of nursing focused talks and discussions.
Part 1 will include updates from the four ICS Nursing Sub committees. There will also be abstract presentations from nursing members of the societies. We therefore welcome abstracts from our nursing members, these can either be work in progress or abstracts that have failed to get accepted in the main conference. If you could use the same form as the main conference abstract submission for this and sent to the ICS-IUGA office (info@icsoffice.org) for the attention of Mary Palmer and the nursing research sub-committee by the 31st May 2010, for consideration.
Note: We are no longer accepting abstracts for the mock session as all the slots are full.
We are also pleased to have as a speaker Louise Forest Lalande, the vice chair of WCET (World Congress of Enterostomatherapists) who will be discussing with us how we can collaborate in the area of continence education and practice on a worldwide basis.
A lunch will be provided by the Canadian Nurse Continence Advisors for all those who have registered for the whole day or just the afternoon.
The afternoon sessions (Part 2) will focus on the theme practice issues of the ICS nursing practice group with presentations on post natal bladder care, the profile of the continence nurse and the catheter and drainage bag care. Each of the 3 topics will feature and update of the progress to date and a presentation of research currently being done to support practice.
We hope that you will join us in what promises to be a very exciting day.
