From Brain Research to Brain Repair

A symposium in honor of the launch of the new Edmond and Lily Safra Center for Brain Sciences with Nobel Laureate Prof. Bert Sakmann, Prof. Gerald Fishbach, Prof. Hagai Bergman, Prof. (Emeritus) Marta Weinstock–Rosin, Prof. Nissim Benvenisty, and Prof. Eilon Vaadia; moderated by University President Prof. Menachem Magidor.

Participants will address different aspects of brain research – the connection between basic research and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, new research directions in Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, autism, stem cell research, and brain-machine interface – as well as the University’s bold new initiative in neuroscience.
