Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of ESRA, the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy, we would like to invite you to our XII Cadaver Workshop, which again will be held at the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Innsbruck, Austria. We are grateful to the Institute of Anatomy as well as to the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care at the University of Innsbruck for the excellent facilities provided to us and for helping this Workshop to maintain the highest possible educational level.
The workshop is designed for anaesthesiologists and other physicians using neural blockades in their practice, either for surgical anaesthesia or for pain control. The meeting will include introduction lectures of basic anatomical and clinical principles behind each block followed by practical demonstrations of anatomy and block performance on the corpse. Nerve localization with the aide of ultrasound and neuroaxial blocks under the CT-control is included in the programme as well as demonstrations of the blocks on live models.
The essence of the programme is extensive audience participation permitting a detailed and practical application of the theory presented in the lectures as well as vivid discussions with world known experts in the field of regional anaesthesia. In order to preserve this aspect of the meeting we have deliberately controlled the number of participants, thereby ensuring that your time spent at the Institute is as rewarding as possible.
We look forward to welcoming you to Innsbruck.
