9/9 – Enchanting Porto, experience the city – walking tour  - Half Day

A walking city tour - visit of the typical Market of Bolhão - which offers an amazing colorful atmosphere with all the fresh fruit, vegetables and fish beautifully exhibited.
Continue along the pedestrian and commercial street of Porto - where the finest shops are.
Stop at the Elegant Art Deco “Café Majestic”– a remarkable place in town which cannot be missed! While there, take the chance to drink a Portuguese Espresso and taste a “Pastel de Nata,” - a delicious cake made of puff pastry and custard served with cinnamon on top.

Visit to the Cathedral and the São Bento Railway Station - beautifully covered with blue and white tiles depicting scenes of the daily life of people from the North of Portugal.

Walk down to the most characteristic and symbolic quarter in town – the Ribeira Quarter. Located by the River Douro, the Ribeira still transmits a bit of the ‘old days’ flavor, with all the laundry hanging out from the windows, narrow and labyrinth pathways and traditional houses made of granite.

10/9 – Rabelo Cruise and Wine Tradition - Half Day

An unforgettable journey:

The cruise is with no doubt a unique moment and offers a fantastic perspective of Porto seen from its element – the river. It is in fact the river that transmits all of the mystic atmosphere that one feels when walking through the streets of Porto. It is also from the river that one can enjoy the magnificent and unique view of the highlights of Porto, such as the Tower of Clérigos, the Cathedral, the Stock Exchange (Palácio da Bolsa), the Old Quarter of Ribeira, the D.Luis Bridge, and all the Porto Wine Cellars on the opposite bank.

Rableo boats - wooden sailboats, one of the symbols of the city, which were once used to transport the famous Port wine from the Douro valley to the Wine cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia.

The trip consists in a one hour cruise, through the waters of the Douro, passing under the bridges until the mouth of the river.

On board we will have a Welcome Drink – Port Tonic will be served!

Considered to be one of the world’s finest and most complex wines, Port wine is best appreciated when tasted in its city of origin - Porto.
Our program goes on for a visit to one of the places that defined the history of Porto, such as the Wine Cellars in Gaia, where several of the companies that make this wine are located.

An invitation for a detailed visit to one of the wine cellars; where one can see the aged wooden barrels in which the port is slowly matured and learn about the history of a wine that is now famous across the world.

End the visit with a memorable tasting of the precious Port Wine!
