ESPID 2012 is being held in the timeless city of Thessaloniki, the second largest city in Greece. Thessaloniki is one of the country’s main industrial and commercial hubs. This ancient city is known for its Byzantine monuments, including the Paleochristian and Byzantine monuments. Thessaloniki also contains as Ottoman and Sephardic Jewish structures. The city is home to the largest university in Greece, Aristotle University.
