Educational Objectives

After participating in this educational activity, participants should be able to:
·        realize the changes in the field
·        envision new perspectives on basic and clinical research
·        discuss innovations in diagnostic immunology, genetics and immunobiology of human diseases, advances in clinical practice, novel therapeutic approaches to tolerance induction, and new insights into stem-cell and cellular therapies
·        review concepts on inborn errors of the immune system, especially the ESID juniors

Target Audience

Because immunodeficiency is a problem for patients with a variety of conditions and across disciplines, the target audience includes any specialist or primary care clinician involved in the treatment of pain and/or pain research, especially those utilizing invasive and non-invasive techniques for pain management. Other professionals interested in expanding their knowledge in the field of pain medicine, including but not limited to physician assistants, nurses, and scientists working in the basic and clinical science areas, will also benefit from the wide range of educational offerings.

Accreditation Statement and Credit Designation

European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (UEMS/EACCME)

The '15th Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies' (or) '15th Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiency‘ is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), http://www.uems.net/

The '15th Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Immunodeficiencies ' is designated for a maximum of 20 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

American Medical Association (AMA)

Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme.

Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada

Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. To Receive Your CME Certificate 

Your CME certificate will be delivered electronically after completing the educational evaluation and credit claiming procedure. The process will take 5-10 minutes. We thank you for your feedback as it is an important part of the CME accreditation process and helps improve future educational offerings. All evaluation responses are anonymous; your name will be requested for the credit claiming and certificate process only.
1.             Follow the link in the email notification sent at the end of the event, or visit the “CME Accreditation” page on the event website (www.kenes.com/esid)
2.             Login with your unique User ID (included in your registration package or on your badge)
3.             Complete the online evaluation
4.             Indicate the number of hours/days you actually attended
5.             Your CME certificate will be automatically emailed to the address provided
6.             Retain the certificate for your personal records

Certificate of Attendance (non-CME)

A non-CME certificate of attendance may be printed from one of the on-site automatic registration stations. The certificate of attendance is not a CME certificate!

Disclosure and Resolution of Personal Conflicts of Interest

In accordance with all CME accreditation criteria and standards for commercial support, we are committed to ensuring balance, independence, objectivity, and scientific rigor in all of its continuing medical education events. Accordingly, those in control of the educational content must disclose all financial relationships with any commercial interest. Disclosure information is thoroughly evaluated and all conflicts of interest are resolved via several methodologies. Disclosure of this information is made to participants prior to the educational activity in the program guide, on the event website, and verbally at the beginning of each educational session. Discussion of off-label use of a therapeutic product, or the investigational use not yet approved, is also disclosed.
