Rosemary A. Fisher
Dr Fisher’s interest in trophoblastic disease began when she joined Professor Sylvia Lawler’s group at the Institute of Cancer Research to investigate the genetic basis of these disorders. Having gained a PhD from the University of London in 1989 she joined the Trophoblastic Disease Unit at Charing Cross Hospital, London as a post doctoral scientist and became involved in the development of diagnostic tests for gestational trophoblastic tumours and recurrent molar pregnancies. Since then Dr Fisher has maintained an interest in diagnosis, teaching and research in relation to trophoblastic disease with a particular interest in recurrent molar pregnancies. She is currently a Principal Research Fellow at Imperial College London and an Honorary Consultant Geneticist with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.
