Climate

The weather in Milan during the end of September is generally sunny and cool but with the possibility of sudden thundershowers and rainfall with a quick change in temperature.
Average temperature in Milan ranges between 10°C- 20°C.

The registration desk and Meeting secretariat will be situated on the second floor of the Milan
Convention Center and will be open during the following hours:

Hospitality Desk

A Hospitality Desk, situated in the Registration Area, will be available to answer general questions about Milan.

The Meeting abstracts have been published on a CD-ROM, which is kindly sponsored by PharmaMar.

Abstracts Online

Abstracts will be published online as a supplement of the peer-reviewed International Journal of Gynecological Cancer.

Webcasting

20 sessions will be webcast and available to ESGO members following the Meeting.

CME Accreditation

The 17th International Meeting of the European Society for Gynaecological Oncology (ESGO) has been accredited for 23 credits by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net.

European CME credits (ECMEC’s) are recognized by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). To convert EACCME’s credit to AMA PRA category 1 credit, contact the AMA.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates of attendance may be printed from one of the automatic registration stations next to the registration desk from 12:00 on Tuesday, September 13.

Attendance Tracking Report

If you need an hourly report of your attendance, please approach the self scanning devices located in the registration area, in order to self-scan your badge and record your attendance. Only participants who have recorded their attendance via the self-scanners will receive a report tracking their daily attendance at the Meeting. Tracking reports will be sent from the Secretariat after the Meeting.

Banking and Exchange

The official currency in Italy is Euro (€).
Banking hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 - 13:30 and from 15:00 – 16:00.
Weekends closed.
Automated cash dispensers and automatic currency exchange machines are located outside most banks and cash can be withdrawn 24 hours a day.
Foreign currency may be changed at banks, hotels, airports and in exchange offices.
All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants and shops.

Liability and Insurance

The Meeting Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants and accompanying persons. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip. Please do not leave any bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside to outside the session halls.

Official Letter of Invitation

The Meeting Secretariat will send a personal invitation to participate for VISA purposes. This invitation is meant only to assist participants to raise travel funds or to obtain a visa and is not a commitment on the part of the organisers to provide any financial support. Please email invitation@kenes.com for your personal invitation letter.

Applications for invitation letters must be received at least 30 days prior to the Meeting.
