- Paolo FUSAR POLI (UK), for his paper “Distinct effects of D9-Tetrahydrocannabinol and Cannabidiol on neural activation during emotional processing”, published in Archives of General Psychiatry (2008)
- Fabrice JOLLANT (France), for his paper “Orbitofrontal cortex response to angry faces in men with histories of suicide attempts”, published in the American Journal of Psychiatry (2008)
- Fiammetta COSCI (Italy), for her paper “Nictoine dependence, psychological distress and personality traits as possible predictors of smoking cessation. Result of a double-blind study with nicotine patch”, published in Addictive Behaviors (2008)
- Katherine JOHNSON (Ireland), for her paper “Absence of the 7-repeat variant of DRD4 VNTR is associated with drifting sustained attention in children”, published in the American Journal of Medical Genetices (2008)
