Welcome

Dear Colleagues,

It is our pleasure to cordially invite you to the EANS Annual Meeting 2013, which will take place in Tel Aviv, Israel
on 11-14 November, 2013.   For the first time, EANS will co-host this meeting with the American Association of
Neurological Surgeons and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (AANS/CNS) Section on Tumors, and the Annual
International Neuro-Oncology Updates, bringing together the best of two continents.  The meeting will focus on
neuro-oncology exploring the field’s major topics, including adult, pediatric, spine, peripheral nerves and more.

The Meeting will bring together neurosurgeons from Europe, North America and the entire world with interest
and expertise in neuro-oncology.  The stimulating scientific program will highlight the latest scientific achievements,
enhance existing knowledge and lead to improved diagnosis, prevention and treatment of neoplastic CNS disorders.
The program will include state-of-the-art plenary lectures, selected presentations from submitted abstracts, meet-the-expert sessions with the world’s leading neurosurgeons, neuro-oncologists and scientists, as well as ample
opportunity for interactive discussions.

Tel Aviv is Israel’s largest city and commercial center located along the beautiful Mediterranean coastline and
renowned for its distinctive Bauhaus architecture. This busy metropolis invigorates visitors with a unique energetic
atmosphere, outstanding museums, cultural events, international cuisine, and non-stop active nightlife.
Social events will be planned to offer participants a taste of the vibrant local culture.

The Meeting, which will be held at the David Intercontinental Hotel located on the magical beachfront promenade
and neighboring the ancient port city of Jaffa, is steps away from Israel’s largest open-air market and Tel Aviv’s
oldest and most fashionable neighborhood of Neve Tzedek.

We look forward to your submission of abstracts, which will add to the scientific quality of the program, support
the exchange of ideas and strengthen ongoing research and clinical collaborations between Europe and North
America.

With best wishes and looking forward to welcoming you in Tel Aviv,
