The Scientific Program will consist of the following:
Key lectures
The state-of-the-art lectures will have a strong practical focus. They will provide a complete update on some significant aspects of current Buiatric practice. The state-of-the-art lectures will be delivered by top worldwide invited experts and will last 45 minutes each.
Short lectures
The short lecturers will review and give information on significant topics of current Buiatric practice. Speaker for short lecturers will be selected from worldwide experts attending the congress and will last 20 minutes each.
Workshops
The workshops will be focused on a specific topic of the Buiatry and will bring together experts in this particular field for a more intensive discussion. The maximum time allowed for each workshop session will be 105 minutes and will have a maximum of three speakers. At least 50% of the time will be devoted to discussion.
Posters presentations
Attendants are invited to present their new research findings or important ongoing research results as a poster presentation related to one or more of the specific topics of the Congress. Abstracts submitted for poster presentation will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee before final acceptance. All abstracts must be written in English and submitted on-line via this website.
Oral presentations
A limited number of accepted abstracts for poster presentation will be selected by the Scientific Committee for an additional oral presentation. Oral presentation will last 10 minutes plus 5 minutes for general discussion.
Satellite symposia
These satellite symposia will be organized by private companies dealing with the Buiatric practice previous consultation with the Scientific Committee. Industries are welcome to propose topics for satellite symposia or other sponsored events to the Organizer Committee.
Proposed symposia
The Scientific Committee is open to receive proposals for symposia focused on specific topics of the Buiatric sciences or practice to be analyzed from different points of view by expert presenters. These sessions will last 105 minutes and will consist of a maximum of four presentations and enough time for discussion at the end of the session. All participants must have formally agreed to participate prior to submission of the proposal. It is highly desirable that a Symposium comprises no more than two speakers from the same nationality. All participants of Symposia should be self-financed.
CE Courses
Veterinary Colleges are invited to serve the educational mission of the WBC by providing high-quality Continuing Education Courses covering aspects of the Buiatric practice. Fees will be charged separately for the courses. Chilean Veterinary Faculties are welcome to propose pre or post Congress CE Courses to the Scientific Committee.
