Cerebral Blood Flow & Brain Function Congress | Brain & BrainPET 2011

BrainPET

The Biennal BrainPET meeting has a long history of attracting researchers from the entire world with a common interest: functional imaging by Positron Emission Tomography.  The first BrainPET meeting was held in 1995 in Oxford, UK, initially as a separate satellite meeting of Brain then joining Brain for more efficient and interdisciplinary interactions but with the continued aim of specifically engaging researchers using PET to study Brain Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology and Therapeutics.  Later BrainPET meetings were held in Bethesda - USA (1997), Copenhagen - Denmark (1999), Taipei – Taiwan (2001), Calgary - Canada (2003), Amsterdam – Netherlands (2005), Osaka - Japan (2007) and Chicago - USA (2009). We will continue this tradition of international excellence in the next meeting and BrainPET 2011 will be held in Barcelona - Spain. The meeting will encompass areas around methodology development, data acquisition and analysis, tracer development and validation, preclinical applications and clinical applications in the healthy and diseased brain. We look forward to you joining us in the wonderful city of Barcelona for this exciting meeting.
