The official language of the congress is English.
Although Hong Kong has a humid subtropical climate, the month of November is usually sunny and dry with an average temperature of 21°C.
All participants are kindly requested to wear their name badges throughout the ACA Congress in order to be admitted to the lecture halls and other scheduled activities.
Visa regulations depend on your nationality and country of origin. Please contact your local Chinese Diplomatic and Consulare mission for full and official instructions on the specific visa regulations and application procedures that apply to you. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.
Official Letter of Invitation
Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent on request from the Secretariat. To request an official invitation letter please email your full name (as stated in passport), passport number, nationality, work institution and address to firstname.lastname@example.org. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organising Committee or Congress Organiser to provide any financial assistance. If you require an original letter, it is recommended that you send your request 3 months in advance to account for delivery by post and administrative time.
Guest Attendance Policy
All event activities (including educational sessions, meal functions, exhibit hall, etc.) are exclusively reserved for registered attendees. Non-registered guests (including children, family members, colleagues, etc.) are not allowed in any of the event areas. Badges provided at registration are required for entrance into all functions and will be strictly enforced.

ACA 2013 is a non-smoking event.
The official currency in Hong Kong is the Hong Kong Dollar ($, HK$). Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks, bureau de change and automatic currency exchange machines.
safety & security
Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.
liability & insurance
The Congress Secretariat and Organisers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of or damage to private property of participants. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
A professional exhibition will be held concurrently with the Congress.
