The APLAR Symposium 2013 will be held at the Bali International Convention Cenre, the most comprehensive world-class conference venue just adjacent to The Westin Resort, Nusa Dua. Located in a secluded enclave with access control by private security in the exclusive BTDC complex, it is just 10 kilometers from Bali's international airport and 25 minutes from the chic and vivacious Kuta, Legian and Seminyak districts.

English is the official language of the congress.

Climate
Bali has a tropical climate with year round temperatures averaging 31 C. High humidity can be expected during the wet season between the months of October - April.
Currency
The Indonesia Rupiah (Rp) is the officiall national currency. 1 US$ is approximately IDR 9,130.
Credit Card
All major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, shops and restaurants. The most widely accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard. Restaurants and shops generally display signs indicating which cards are accepted.
Travelling and Visa Requirements
11 countries and territories are eligible for a "Visa Free" facility. Those holding valid passports from the following countries will be granted a non-extendable 30 day Visa-Free Short Visit Permit upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway without charge:

Nationals of the 64 countriers who are going on holiday, business and/or attending conventions, social or cultural visits are allowed to stay in Indonesia for 30 days and can extend for 1 time for 30 days. Visa on arrival are issued upon their arrival in Indonesia's designed "International Gateway
Letter of invitation
Participants requiring a formal letter of invitation, to enable them to make their arrangements, should contact the Secretariat. it is understood that such an invitation is intended to help delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa and does not imply a commitment from the congress organizers to provide any financial support or scheduling of presentations.
Liability
The congres secretariat and organizers cannot accept liability for personal accidents or loss of damage to private propoerty of participants and accompanying persons. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.
