About Bangkok
Bangkok was founded in 1782 by the first monarch of the present Chakri dynasty. It is now the country's spiritual, cuftural, diplomatic, commercial and educational hub. It covers an area of more than 1,500 square kilometres, and it is home to approximately ten million people or more than 10% of the country's population.
Over the last few decades, Thailand's capital city, Bangkok, has changed into a modern, exciting and sophisticated city.
Thank you for making APASL 2011 a huge success!!!
On behalf of the APASL 2011 Organizing Committee, I would like to thank the close to 4,200 participants from 88 countries who attended the 21st Conference of the Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver held in Bangkok from 17-20 February 2011.
The Conference was a huge success with well-attended keynotes, symposia, special and state-of-the-art lectures, case discussions and early-morning workshops.
