CME CREDITS

The 9th International Conference on Alzheimer’s Disease and Parkinson’s Disease is applying to the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACME) for CME accreditation.

The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialist (UEMS), www.uems.net.

Awards

The following awards will be presented at the AD/PD Conference: 

CORNELLI AWARDS

The Cornelli Awards are generously donated by the Cornelli Foundation in memory of Roberto Cornelli. There are four awards to the value of $2000 each for outstanding presentations given at the Conference. To apply for an award please tick the special tick box when submitting your abstract.

LEDA HANIN AWARD

The Leda Hanin Award, to the value of $2000 is donated by the Cornelli Foundation in memory of Mrs Leda Hanin who made an invaluable contribution to the early AD/PD Conferences and is awarded to an outstanding researcher in the fields of Alzheimer’s or Parkinson’s Diseases.

JSW – CNS RESEARCH AWARDS

These awards are donated by JSW – CNS Research, an established private contract research organization in the field of neurodegenerative disorders. For the most innovative animal model for AD/PD research a prize of €2500 will be endowed and another prize of €2500 for an outstanding in vitro model of neurodegeneration. To apply for an award please tick the special tick box when submitting your abstract. Please note: only abstracts which deal with outstanding in vitro or in vivo models for research and drug development can be considered for this award.

JUNIOR FACULTY AWARD

This year the organizers of AD/PD are offering up to 20 Junior Faculty Awards, to the value of €1000 each, including the opportunity to give an oral presentation in a special symposium. To apply for an award please choose the Junior Faculty Award presentation type when submitting your abstract. Applicants must also submit a copy of their CV to the Secretariat upon application either via fax to +41 22 732 2850 labelled 'Attention ADPD Secretariat' or by e-mail to adpd@kenes.com.

KARGER AWARDS

Karger will be sponsoring the "Best Oral Presentation" and "Best Poster Presentation" awards. The winners will each receive two year personal subscriptions to the Neurodegenerative Diseases Journal.
