Will be held Wednesday October 7th and Thursday October 8th at the CCH Congress Center Hamburg.

Will be held Thursday, October 8th at the CCH Congress Center Hamburg.

NAME BADGES

All participants and exhibitors will be kindly requested to wear their name badges throughout the Meeting in order to be admitted to the lecture halls and other scheduled activities.

meeting abstracts on CD Rom

Abstracts will be avaliable on a CD Rom. To collect the CD room at the Meeting, a CD exchange voucher, which will be avaliable in your meeting bag, will have to be handed to the representative at the Chiesi Booth in the exhibition area.

CME ACCREDITATION

The ‘50th Annual Meeting of the European Society for Paediatric Research’ is designated for a maximum of, or up to 23 hours of European external CME credits (ECMEC’s). Each medical specialist will be able to claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.

CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE

ESPR 2009 participants may receive an official Certificate of Attendance, following the meeting by submitting a request online.  In order to obtain your certificate, you will need to submit your name and email address in the special form on the official meeting website: www.kenes.com/paediatric-research. After submitting your details, an email will be automatically sent to your inbox with the Certificate of Attendance attached.

ESPR SOCIETY MEMBESHIP DESK

Will be located at the ESPR Booth in the exhibition area in operation with exhibition opening hours.

MEETING POINT

A special meeting area will be designated for all attendees to have the opportunity to network with their fellow colleagues of the field. The meeting point will be located in the foyer in Hall A.

INTERNET ZONE

Internet services for checking e-mail messages will be available, free of charge in the exhibition area and will be operational in accordance with exhibition opening hours for the duration of the meeting.

Evaluation Forms

Evaluation forms will be distributed at the entrance to session halls. You will be kindly requested to complete the forms for each session that you attend and to return them to the collection point of the hall entrances.

A list of participants will be displayed on the notice board, which will be located in the registration area.

YOUNG INVESTIGATOR PRESENTATIONS

Will take place on Saturday, October 10, 09:00 - 11:00, Hall A. The best presentations will be announced during the  ESPR 50th Anniversary Birthday Party.

BENGT ROBERTSON AWARD PRESENTATION

Will take place on Saturday, October 10, 14:45 - 15:45, Hall A.

Informal for all occasions.

SMOKING POLICY

This will be a non-smoking event.

Liability and Insurance

The organisers will not be able to take any responsibility whatsoever for injury or damage involving persons and property during the meeting. Participants are advised to take out their own personal travel and health insurance for their trip.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Please do not leave bags or suitcases unattended at any time, whether inside or outside the session halls. Hotels strongly recommend that you use their safety deposit boxes for your valuables.

Climate

October in Hamburg is usually cool with a possibility of rain.
The average temperature in October ranges between 13°C to a low of 6°C.

Time Zone

The time zone in Hamburg is Central European Time (CET) (GMT +1 hour), and six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time (EST).

Letter of Invitation

Official letters of invitation designed to help overcome administrative difficulties in certain countries will be sent upon request. It must be understood that such letters do not represent a commitment on the part of the Organising Committee or meeting to provide any financial assistance. If you require such a letter, please apply to the Secretariat. 

Visa

Participants are requested to check with the German consulate or diplomatic mission in their home country or with their travel agency for visa requirements.  It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.

Currency / Exchange

The currency unit in Germany is the Euro.  International credit cards are accepted for payment in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Foreign currency may be changed at banks during normal banking hours, at hotels, at airports and in exchange offices.  ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at the Hamburg Airport.
