Bursary Application

Trainees/Fellows

Physicians/Scientists from Developing Countries

BURSARY SUBMISSION IS NOW CLOSED

NeuPSIG Bursaries for Trainees/Fellows

NeuPSIG has provided financial support for Trainees/Fellows to participate in NeuPSIG scientific meetings since its inception. This support will continue in respect of the 2013 Toronto conference and will, as before, take two forms:

  • There will be a reduced registration fee for all bona fide trainees/fellows.
  • A number of bursaries will be awarded on a competitive basis. The level of support for this category will include:
    • Congress Registration (this will be arranged automatically by the secretariat)
    • Travel support of up to CAN$ 400 for applicants from Canada and USA and CAN$ 800 for applicants from outside these destinations
    • Accommodation for up to 4 nights (in a hotel near the congress venue as designated and booked by the congress secretariat)
    • Living expenses totaling CAN$ 150

It is obligatory for applicants to be NeuPSIG members (also requires IASP membership) and a first/presenting author on a Poster to be presented in Toronto to be considered for bursary support.

NeuPSIG Bursaries for Physicians/Scientists from Developing Countries

NeuPSIG values and encourages the participation of Physicians and Scientists from developing countries in its various meetings and conferences. NeuPSIG also recognises that such individuals do face significant financial impediments to attend international meetings and for these reasons NeuPSIG will continue its policy of financial support for selected individuals for the Toronto conference.

Consequently, we will award a limited number of bursaries for Physicians and Scientists from developing countries on a competitive basis similar to that for trainees as detailed above. While preference will be given to applicants presenting a Poster in Toronto, this is not essential to be considered for bursary support.

The level of support will include:

  • Congress Registration (this will be arranged automatically by the secretariat)
  • Travel support of up to CAN$ 1000
  • Accommodation for up to 4 nights (in a hotel near the congress venue as designated and booked by the congress secretariat)
  • Living expenses totaling CAN$ 150

It is obligatory for applicants to be NeuPSIG members (also requires IASP membership) and an author on a Poster to be presented in Toronto to be considered for bursary support.

Individuals from Developing Countries who are actually living outside their country need to present a statement of support from their training director.
