International Congress of Pediatrics (ICP)

Welcome to the International Congress of Pediatrics 2013

Dr Neil Wigg - Congress PresidentThe Paediatricians of Australia and New Zealand are pleased to welcome you to ICP2013 to be held in Melbourne Australia on 24-29 August 2013.

This triennial congress of the International Pediatric Association is being hosted by the Paediatrics and Child Health Division of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).  The Congress will be held in the exciting, state-of-the-art Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre located on the banks of the Yarra River in central Melbourne.

The Congress theme “Bridging the Gaps in Child and Adolescent Health” will be addressed through presentations, workshops, interactive media, site visits and much more.  Professor Elizabeth Elliott from the Sydney University is chairing the international Scientific Program Committee. The program will draw upon Pediatric expertise from around the world, as well as show-casing the very best in paediatrics and child health from New Zealand and Australia.

There will be a specific focus on achievements in working toward The Millennium Development Goals.

Late August in Melbourne is mild Spring-time weather. Melbourne is a modern, progressive multicultural society renown for sport, food, entertainment, culture and shopping!  It is the heart of tourism in south-east Australia, with fabulous sights within only an hour or two of the city centre.

Why not step-off to see Sydney, the Great Barrier Reef, Central Australia (and Uluru), breath-taking New Zealand or the island State of Tasmania, on your way to or from Melbourne?  Decide early, make travel arrangements early, and make ICP2013 one of your great life experiences.

This web-site will be progressively updated as we move towards August 2013.  Bookmark this web-site and visit often.  I look forward to meeting you in Melbourne, to renewing friendships and to offering you a taste of the best available in Melbourne.

Kind regards,
Dr Neil Wigg
Congress President
