Dear Governors and Friends,
We are honored to invite you to the 72nd Meeting of the International Board of Governors and Commencement Ceremonies of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which will take place from June 5th through June 10th, 2009.
The week of commencement and Board of Governors meetings and events is always an exciting time at the University, providing an opportunity to learn about the newest people, research, and achievements of the University through academic seminars, festive celebrations, symposia and workshops. This is also a wonderful opportunity for us to pay tribute to those who support our great institution.
This year promises to be particularly fascinating, as we will explore the latest horizons in brain research. We will showcase Hebrew University's cutting-edge progress in a field in which our university has been acknowledged to be one of the best worldwide.
We look forward to seeing you this June in Jerusalem.
Charles Goodman Chairman of the Board of Governors |

Great universities will be judged in the coming decades by what they contribute to our understanding of the human mind. Indeed, some believe that our survival as a species depends upon a better understanding of human actions, perceptions, patterns of thought, and emotions. Fortunately, you have an excellent foundation on which to build. With proper recruitment, new space, a new administrative structure, and funds to support the research, Hebrew University Neuroscience will be ranked among the top five in the world.
