Traditional Portuguese Band - A Bit About:
The Tuna Académica da Universidade Fernando Pessoa, of the noble city of Oporto, was founded on 12 October 1994, with 25 faithful of the bohemian spirit of music and enviable academic.
Always aware of traditional and/or Portuguese popular music, this Tuna has managed to overcome some dreams of old, arousing attention thanks to this joviality, joy, companionship ... and many other adjectives that are a permanent way of being and being in this group.
We are twenty or so little boys, charming, serious, single, but a tiny bit liars, who sing and enchant maidens, with many serenades, dividing complicity with the moon and the streets of this city.
In fact, this enthusiast Tuna, can boast of having noted our presence in almost all major festivals of tunas in the country, but our pride balances between living in the streets, serenading ballads among the maidens and covering mainland Portugal in length and breadth - as well as The Islands, Brazil, and North Africa.
As ambassadors of music par excellence and national traditions, we have created such roots that will be etched in the consciousness of each, lifelong learning.
Followed by Welcome Reception in the Exhibition Area
Congress Gala Dinner
Friday, September 10, 2010
Bolsa Palace (Stock Exchange Palace)

The Palácio da Bolsa was built in the 19th century by the city's Commercial Association in a Neo-classical style. It is located in the Infante D. Henrique Square in the historical centre of Oporto, and designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
The Palácio da Bolsa is located beside the St. Francis Church of Oporto, which was once part of the St. Francis Convent, founded in the 13th century. In 1832, during the Liberal Wars, a fire destroyed the cloisters of the convent, sparing the church. In 1841, Queen Mary II donated the convent ruins to the merchants of the city, who decided to use the spot to build the seat of the Commercial Association.
Today the Palace is used as a conference center and houses many halls – each more spectacular than the one before.
Guests at the ESRA 2010 Gala Dinner will have the opportunity to wander between the old court rooms, president offices and other fine spaces of the Palace before descending into the breathtaking main hall for dinner, drinks, and of course some dancing!
Evening of Events:
19:30 Transfer/Pickup
20:00 A reception will be held at the Bolsa Palace with Canapés and drinks.
The reception will begin from the Balcony and continue with a tour of the magnificent rooms in the palace.
