A number of awards will be presented at the ESPR 2011 Meeting including:
- Young Investigator's Award
- Bengt Robertson Award
- ESPR Award for Best Poster
Young Investigators & Bengt Robertson Award
Authors may apply for the Young Investigator’s Prize Presentation or the Bengt Robertson Award. An author may apply for both awards providing 2 different abstracts are submitted (one for each).
Young Investigator’s Award
- Content of the abstract must be original work.
- Presenting authors must be < 35 years of age. Clear copy of ID indicating date of birth is to be included with the abstract submission.
- Name of an ESPR member supporting the application is required.
Judgement criteria will be based on:
- Scientific content
- Structure of the abstract
- Presentation
- Ability to defend the paper/results during the question time from the audience
YOUNG INVESTIGATOR'S AWARD
Up to two prizes will be awarded.
First Prize: EUR 600 Award, free travel to the 2012 PAS meeting , and complimentary registration to the EAPS 2012 Meeting.
Second Prize: EUR 400 Award, complimentary registration to the EAPS 2012 Meeting.
Application Instructions
- Request for consideration must be indicated in the abstract submission form at the time of submission.
- The name of the presenting author MUST match the name of the applicant.
Requests that do not conform to above terms will automatically be declined.
Bengt Robertson Award
- Abstracts must be on research concerning the neonatal lung.
- Content of the abstract must be original work.
- Presenting authors must be < 35 years of age. Clear copy of ID indicating date of birth is to be included with the abstract submission.
- Name of an ESPR member supporting the application is required.
The Bengt Robertson awardee will deliver the oral presentation in the Bengt Robertson Session at the meeting.
BENGT ROBERTSON AWARD (Sponsored by Chiesi)
Prize: EUR 3,000. In addition, the winner will receive complimentary registration to the ESPR 2011 Meeting, accommodation and travel expenses will be covered.

ESPR Award for Best Poster
We are pleased to announce that the top 20 scored abstracts selected for poster presentation will automatically be considered for this award and will be competitively scored at the Meeting.The prize winner will be awarded EUR 300.
