Go abroad! Grants and support for European young neurologists
Laszlo Sztriha, London, United Kingdom

Neurology training in Europe is characterized by a broad spectrum with respect to curricula, training facilities and manpower. On the one hand this offers an excellent opportunity for junior neurologists to enrich their clinical and scientific training by performing a training period abroad. On the other hand junior colleagues often face difficulties to get the training time from other countries recognized by their national boards.

This session, a joint proposal from the Training and Education Committee of the EFNS and the European Association of Young Neurologists and Trainees (EAYNT), is aimed at providing detailed information on European training curricula and initiatives of the EFNS to accomplish harmonisation of neurology training in Europe. The broad spectrum of neurology education in Europe will be presented to the attendees and practical information on grants and activities to support training abroad will be provided.
