Climate and Clothing

This is a sunny and warm month. Everything is colourful and you can eat outside. Temperatures often stay above 22 - 24° (74-82 F°) The chance of rain are much lower and you can wear short sleeves. You can also start to have a quick swim. We would recommend bringing long sleeves for the evenings.

How to reach Sorrento

Naples Capodichino Airport is located in the North-West side of the city. From Napoli Capodichino Airport you may reach Sorrento in different ways. The Capodichino Airport is connected to the Railway Station "Napoli Centrale", located in Garibaldi Square "Piazza Garibaldi".

From Naples Central Railway Station to Sorrento
Sorrento is very easy to get to. Circumvesuviana train is located down the steps of Naples main train station Napoli Centrale (it is just like a metro and is clearly signposted). This will take you to Sorrento in about and hour and is approximately 3.60 Euro for a ticket (don't buy a ticket in the machine).

From Naples Airport to Sorrento by car
Sorrentine Peninsula can be reached from Naples via the A3 Highays "Salerno-Reggio Calabria". Stay on this road untill you reach the exit for Casrellammare di Stabia, which is on the northern side and is linked to Sorrento by "Statale 145". When you are on this road follow signs for Sorrento and Positano. The narrow hairpin roads of the Sorrentine peninsula can be both joyful and challenging.

From Naples Airport to Sorrento by Taxi
The taxi ride from the airport to Sorrento will take about 80 minuets and will cost around 100 euros.

We recommend that all participants take out a personal travel and health insurance for the trip
